The Trader Launched beauty brands Shu Uemura, AVEDA, L’Occitane and Tweezerman in the UK in the early 90s. Founded and created Ruby&Millie cosmetics - backed by Boots with a £7m investment in the mid 90s. Worked with retailers Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, & Superdrug. With strong contacts throughout the beauty and fashion press. Co-founder of the newly formed British Beauty Council. Awarded an MBE in 2007 for services to the cosmetics industry. Portfolio includes retail management, brand development and management, marketing and PR, (although a self confessed shop girl).

Anna-Marie Solowij

The Creator Former Beauty Director of British Vogue. Multi award-winning beauty journalist with over 25 years experience. Consulted for brands including Boots, Chanel, H&M, L’Oreal, P&G, Topshop Make-Up, Unilever, YSL. Reports backstage at London Fashion Week and other shows. Has the ultimate ‘little black beauty book’. Can pick a best selling product a mile off and has helped to make some of the cult beauty products of the past 2 decades iconic. Co-founder of the British Beauty Council, BeautyMART and BRANDstand Communications.


Andrew Perera

The Publicist and Managing Director of BRANDSTAND with over 25 years experience across beauty, fashion and lifestyle sectors, both in-house & agency. Former Director of Global Communications for PZ Cussons Beauty: St Tropez, Charles Worthington and The Sanctuary Spa. Previously VP of Global Communications for M.A.C Cosmetics, overseeing 35 markets.
